Short Courses Australia provide daily training courses in Barista Coffee Courses at our Melbourne (CBD) training centres in & across regional Victoria.
Our barista coffee course in Melbourne gives you the skills to prepare and serve espresso in restaurants, bars and cafes using commercial espresso coffee equipment.
You will learn essential coffee skills in a group environment that allows time to receive practical training and to then make coffee under the supervision of our qualified barista trainers.
This course covers all aspects required to extract and serve espresso coffee beverages using commercial espresso machines and grinders.
This (6) six-hour course applies to any hospitality organisation that serves espresso coffee beverages, including cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs, function and event, potential job outcomes can range from:
- Barista's
- Waitpersons
- Bartenders
- Food and beverage attendants
- Hospitality management
- Event staff
- And any other applicable positions within the industry
Participants will receive training in the following:
- Follow hygiene procedures and identify food hazards.
- History and origins of coffee;
- Grind management and dosing;
- The start-up and break down of a coffee machine;
- Creating different coffee styles
- Develop skill required to texture milk;
- Tasting and understanding the ranges and strengths of coffee.
Completion
Upon successful completion of this one-day coffee course, you will receive a certificate of completion (attendance) in Barista Coffee Course certificate.
Successful Students can use this certificate to gain employment within the industry.
