Short Courses Australia is accredited with WorkSafe in Victoria to deliver Construction induction training (White Card) in Melbourne, Victoria.

CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry, also known as White Card in Construction provides participants with the basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry, information about preventing workplace injury and illness, identify hazards and risks and workplace injury management.

All people performing construction work require proof of having completed a general construction induction for the industry.

The White Card Course Melbourne is designed for all workers carrying out construction work including:

• Trainees;

• Supervisors and project managers.

Traffic Controller Course

The traffic controller course (RIIWHS205E) is compleed in one-day. The day is made up of classroom and practical training simulating traffic activity. The course assists participants acquire skills to be able to read and understand traffic management plans as well as control traffic. You will also learn how to set up and use traffic control equipment.

The Traffic Control course provides training that is relevant to many industries, including:

• Plan and Prepare
• Control Traffic
• Operate Communication Devices
• Clean Up

Traffic Management Course

In accordance with VIC Roads training requirements: all field personnel responsible for setting out, implementing and/or monitoring a Traffic Guidance Scheme (as required by a traffic management plan) must have undertaken:

• A course in Traffic Guidance Scheme implementation (Implement traffic management plan RIIWHS302E), or an appropriate refresher course within the last three years, from a registered training organisation (RTO) that is accredited under the Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA).
• It is imporant to note that most Traffic Management training courses will not include RIIWHS205E Control traffic with stop-slow bat. To obtain Traffic Control as specified by VIC Roads, a person is required to complete both the RIIWHS302E Implement traffic management plan and the RIIWHS205E Control Traffic with the Stop-Slow Bat qualification.
